AirPods Pro review (2022): Big changes, all on the inside

Despite the unchanged design, Apple has packed an assortment of updates into the new AirPods Pro. All of the conveniences from the 2019 model are here as well, alongside additions like Adaptive Transparency, Personalized Spatial Audio and a new touch gesture in tow. There’s room to further refine the familiar formula, but Apple has given iPhone owners several reasons to upgrade.

Pros: Improved sound, Stellar transparency mode, Solid ANC, Seamless switching between Apple devices

Cons: Same design, New touch gesture takes practice, Average battery life, Personalized Spatial Audio results vary

FYI there's a big box in the center of your video that looks like burn in. I thought it was my monitor, but no, it was your video.

Is there a chromatic aberration effect added, or is that the camera they used? 🤔

keeping the price… crying in €

There is no need to remove the stem. You have multiple Beats products now with no stems. Apple has to differentiate its product line.

It's the case backwards compatible with version 1?

So where can i find the "review" part? Where's the testing? Audio samples?

I have watched I think every early AirPods 2 review and they all suck. Saying the same things and no attempt to let us hear the differences or any measurements. I could literally recreate this particular review without even having ever touched AirPods Pro 2. Terrible job Engadget have to be honest.

I just want someone to test the mics. I hate that they pick up all the background noises

I hate these type of 'reviews'… what a waste of time just telling us things we already know. This is not a 'review' :/

I love the stem, It makes it so easy to handle the AirPods, putting them in ears and taking them out effortlessly, and control them with precision. I hope they keep it in the future.

woww, came here for review and got a re-narrated version of apple release event 🤦

For God’s sake, Apple, include an EQ feature for these or make it so the iPhone EQ app affects the podcast app too!

I’m hearing impaired and need a spoken work EQ setting for podcasts, you dopes. And iPhone users are making themselves deaf, so more and more users will need this in the future.

Pay attention and don’t let your legal team stop you from doing this.

I kinda wished the U1 chip would also be on the buds. I've never lost a case, but I have lost a bud.

Do they still fall out of your ears every 5 mins?

You can do better – this is not much of a review. Mainly quoting specs. How much battery life did you get? Can you say something about the sound beyond two sentences about the results of ear measurements? How about the ANC? A review requires some use of the product. Unfortunately, not much new info here.

This is more like a product presentation than a review.. you didn't even state if the claims on battery life were true…

why are reviewers so obsessed with getting rid of the stem ? it makes it easier to put in and out of your ear and adds functionality. Its also a design known with apple. It creates no drawbacks what so ever.

Good purchase for those without any airpods
Those with 1 can gladly continue using them it didnt turn out to be as big an upgrade as I expected, and considering i paid around less than 200$ for me its been worth it and will continue to be till they work!
