    AMD has so many good great features that nobody talks about. Switching from a GTX1070 to a Radeon RX6600XT I was absolutely amazed with what AMD is offering in their Software suite. Radeon Chill has been absolutely amazing! Lowering my overall power consumption, heat generation and noise. Let say I am playing Doom Eternal with raytracing enabled. I can quite easily reach 120fps, however, If I set the fps range from 60-120. The software will limit the framerate to 60fps when standing still, once I start move forward or sideways, it instantly reaches 80fps, and once I turn it instantly reaches 120fps…. I save about 60% power. and it makes a lot of sense, the card only renders what is necessary depending on your movement, you don't need insane framerates when you aren't moving. It still feels exactly the same way as if the game was locked to 120fps at all times… Sure this doesn't perhaps apply to competitive games with twitch-movement like CS:GO, but it works great for anything else. And for laptops that are usually thermally constrained Radeon Chill must be a godsend. AMD just need to step up their marketing πŸ™‚

    amd smartshift doesnt do shit, instead my gpu recieves only 35w when gaming, when its rated at 85w with smartshift and 50w normally

    I have a pretty cheap entry level laptop with r 3500 u and a radeon vega (something) 1 gb integrated graphics, handles valorant pretty much, i mean well playable.. 40 fps in tomb raider..

    Good to see the AMD advantage also means other great components such as the Display. I find that the Ryzen 5000 AMD laptops have nearly twice the battery life than the competition, and better performance on battery. In a laptop, I always look for AMD.

    Only if AMD can provide faster rendering for 3D . Nvidia's Optix is like 10x faster in blender's CycleX . That is a significant difference , I hate Nvidia for its price and inefficiency but have to admit AMD taking a BIG L in the 3D rendering part.

    Windows 11 was designed for Intel 12th gen in mind, new laptops all came with Win11 installed – AMD laptops are suffering slowdown and endless patches.

    Nvidia's Raytracing, DLSS, CUDA and Tensor cores are not just important for games, many professional apps required CUDA to work – there's just simply no choice. AI programming required Nvidia as well, RT and DLSS are also essential for UE5 development.

    AMD is not 100% compatible with Intel. Run CEMU, Yuzu or RPCS3 emulators and you will see the difference. Most apps are optimized for Intel.Β 

    The only 'AMD Advantage' is being cheaper.

    AMD having to remind us what they announced 6mo ago, as they were able to ship so little of it… Sadly, usb4 (supposedly feature of 6000 series but almost never present) isn’t part of their Advantage label, although that is only real advantage over their last year 5000 CPUs

    What AMD is doing with advantage edition lineup is pure genius.
    I agree with everything you said Dave but I think there's a 3rd perspective that we all should take on to this topic; BUSINESS
    AMD is probably not "forcing "the manufacturers to use better screens for this lineup. They probably offer a better bundle than what the manufacturers are forced to choose with an NVIDIA based product.
    They sell the components for cheaper, offer or maybe help the manufacturers to use a better screen for their products and close the deal.
    Result? A product that offers great performance, great experience and costs less for users AND provide better profit margins for the manufacturers and their trading partners.

    Like I said; genius. In the long run AMD Advantage edition devices will look like the apple of windows platform.
