Just upgraded from Ryzen 5 3600 to Ryzen 7 5700X. Powerdraw at max 77 Watts and temps don't exceed 50 C with nice upgraded pefromance 👍

  2. Tedie

I am really interested to see how much of performance drops if you use the 13600k with ddr4 compared to ddr5 ram and how much the price changes for ram and motherboard

  3. intel в этот раз выпустила отличные процессоры AMD нужно что то с этим делать что бы как то конкурировать с intel. Например они могли бы цены понизить на свои изделия.

  4. Not sure in what part of the world the 13600K costs 300,= but definitely not in Europe.. More like 420,= euros so not sure you are making the right comparison…

  5. John Doh

Hey dude, I know this is a lot to ask but could you do a scaling benchmark with that 4090 and a bigger collection of CPUs? You did a 5600X vs. a 7600X but unfortunately you did it with a 3090/Ti I can't remember which. It would be nice to see how much you gain by going from 3600 – 5600/X – 5800X3D – 7600X/7700X, and then similar with Intel starting with 10th gen if you have those CPUs kicking around still, and skipping 11th gen since it wasn't popular. But because this is a scaling test using both Intel and AMD then it would be nice to see both the 7600X and 7700X since the 7700X is often the best of the Zen 4 CPUs in gaming, just like the 5800X often was.

i prefer AMD's out of the box power draw but even with that I can't justify spending same amount of money on architecture that's outdated. I'm hoping AMD comes out with performance + efficiency core CPU like Intel. Most likely going to get the 13600K for my PC build still

  7. MeteoR

DDR 5 ram is still at least twice the price of DDR 4..this instantly makes any CPU price comparison irrelevant.
And I didn’t even mention extra cost of AMD Zen 4 motherboard.
Intel is simply the better value.

  8. John Doh

So far across the different 13th gen products, gaming is about the same when the same memory is used.

And then AMD puts out Vcache parts and it won't be until Meteor Lake that Intel can possibly get the gaming crown back because running faster memory with 13th gen isn't going to make THAT much difference to catch the Zen 4 Vcache parts such as the 770X3D, and for anyone who's going to come and say multi-core loads for production, I don't care, I don't do those things. I don't even sit there and run Cinebench all day. In other words don't bother with the comments; I only care about the gaming performance because ANY of these CPUs can handle the amount of compression I run in a given month.

  9. John Doh

Dude, you make a video about performance using a DDR5 based MB for 13th gen and then say at the end when talking about price how you can get a DDR4 MB. Sure you can, and then ALL the data you showed is meaningless, and the performance drop in gaming is fairly significant.

So if a person buys a DDR4 based MB for 13th gen, Zen 4 Vcache parts are going to BUTT STOMP on that 13th gen system.

Here is why you shouldn't buy a DDR4 based MB IF you plan on having 13th gen for a few years. DDR5 will drop in price. Companies will make faster DDR5 memory and it will boost your performance. No company is going to make faster DDR4 memory than what already exists because it's being abandoned or systems that use DDR4 for the most part can't USE the faster DDR4 memory.

And then for 13th gen CPUs, if you want a MB with a lot of ports because you NEED them, you have to spend the money for Z790. It allows DMI 4.0 X8 so you can actually get the benefit of all those extra ports, but once again you need to be a person who uses these ports.

  10. Vens Roofcat

With 12th and 13th gen Intel has sort of returned to tick-tock model it was using around 2010. So if you haven't got 12th gen already, 13th one is a better buy. More mature tech and you can still use older, cheaper motherboards. Though if you have got 12th gen already, there is no point to waste 350$ just 12 months later.
As for AMD, platform longevity is a stick with two ends. Since their customers are used to save on platform, this time the upgrade doesn't look so sweet. Intel customers wouldn't care. In the end none of these 2 chips is worth an upgrade right now. Except you have a really old CPU or do a lot of productivity tasks for money. Q2 2023.

  11. BCSpikeFM

I love Jarrod's reviews for actually trying to make it so that each platform uses the exact same memory kit.

Can I request in the future that you do 7700X vs 13700K? That's the market I'm looking in right now as 6 performance cores isn't enough for my desktop use.

  12. Ben Abbott

I already got the 7950x so im happy I didnt have a finished desktop computer so I went with the platform with longevity because I had to get all new stuff anyway

  13. This guy has robotic voice and same repeating cyclic pitch makes me feel sleepy
No offense but kindly try to sound natural

  14. Green Block

Thank you for gimping 13600K with slower memory. I would also like you to disable the 8 extra Intel cores to make it perform similar to AMD. Otherwise, it is not fair. /s

  15. sneer

You must be the only one with 13600k slower in games than 7600x

  16. Kur0

5:55 13600k is 36% faster in compression and 25%* faster in decompression

  17. zeljko

Why all other review on internet show 13xx at least a lead by 1-10% in games and only this one review does not?????
    do AMD pay you?

  18. Robert Stan

Can you get your hands on some 7700X and 13700K to test similarly?
The AMD lower end parts look great for gaming and efficiency, but they need to lower the MSRPs at some point in the near future, Intel really cut into their margins to eek out better price competitivity (RTL dies are quite a bit bigger than ADL).
They need the lower prices twofold, since they also need to make room for the X3D parts (the segmentation/pricing). Which allegedly will be on a whole new level than both Vanilla Zen4 and 5800X3D (new stacking tech and more experience on building them).

  19. gazza

Bryan at TYC saying your testing is wrong and you have to turn off turn off core isolation ?

  20. LatinLegacy

DDR5 6000 🫠. Don’t do that if you’re planning to go with the 13600K. Either get yourself one of the better DDR4 kits or go with DDR5 6400+. The 13600K was handicapped with the memory used here.

  21. yuehuang

It is funny that the 360 AIO cost almost as much the CPU. Probably won't affect the results.

  22. Leonardo

    For gaming ddr4 is this the way. Zen4 platform cost 2x more then 13600kf + b660 + ddr4.

  23. Chikuwa

Adding efficient cores to the mid-range SKUs serves Intel very well it seems.

  24. jako997

Glad to see better competition going on. AMD stepped it up big time and now gamers have more choice which is great. Only main problem is that you have to get a new Motherboard for the new amd CPU but other than that, they are great But i think ima stick with my 3700x for a little bit longer

  25. mathesar

It's interesting because in Gamers Nexus 13600K review it scored higher than the 7600X in most gaming tests and in Cyberpunk the 13600K was 5% faster than the 7950X (!) Guess its always good to get a 2nd opinion.

  26. Louis Duran

Well talking about value… If you don't need to upgrade your RAM and motherboard to upgrade to 13th gen Intel then you will be much better off with the Core i5

  27. Dillon Harper

Still rocking my 4770k OC TO 4.4ghz and gaming on a 980ti hydro and have been playing games great even in 4k. I play like 3 games. But am considering upgrading next year for sure.

  28. JAMES JOHNSON

Could you please do a real world review for an hour or so under various applications instead of synthetic benchmark and would like to see if there's thermal Throttling or performance degradation under long run 😂😂?? I very much doubt the performance numbers of intel in real world 🤪🤪

  29. PLKay

So streaming and Gaming at the same time should I go for intel or Amd ?

  30. Johan Bire

intel launch new processor every year lmaoo their afraid on amd

  31. Ta

I think building now would be decent, 13600k with the best ddr4, rather than paying the enthusiast tax and being a Guinea pig. Buying ddr5 now feels bad, they’ll probably have better ddr5 the more and more mature it gets

  32. Gergely Kiss

Very interesting review as 99% of the other reviews got the 13600k better then the 7600x and sometime even better then the 7700x.

  33. Ragnar O'Daleigh

Absolutely ecstatic to see Winter's Gate getting a little love out in the wild. Monumental album that will probably never get the recognition it deserves. Excellent taste, dude.

  34. Ted Archer

AMD needs to price their 8 cores against 13600k to be competetive

  35. Aethelwulf

I mean I don't get it. I see every other channel showing the 13600K beating the 7600X except from this one.

  36. Kamil Alilov

Intel consumes 100 watts more. I remember I had an Intel processor that was considered to be eating a lot, and it was 100 watts.
air as I understood this Intel will not be cooled?

  37. Portuga RD

hii can we get some test's with streaming ? Gameplay + streaming 1060 60fps CPU SETTINGS : super fast OR very fast AND including streaming by GPU BOTH with 7000 bitrate
I just cant find ppl showing that diferences. I want to upgrade my intire PC . and the budget is freaking Small and limited.
I saw a friend with a 5700x and a 3060 ti and the performance was good, but the 1% Lows was going from 70 FPS to 33 .
The game in question is GTA V .
Testing with 5700x on both Settings " super fast as very fast " the 1% lows was basicly the same,
but streaming via GPU the 1% low did go up to 43 FPS .

and on both test's either CPU or GPU streaming the game was still stuttering BAD , like 0.5 S to 1 Sec stutterings ..
And to be honest i dont want to upgrade to still face the same stupid stuttering problems .
    what can i Do ???
    Get 3070 ti ? 700+€ or a 3080 ? 800€+
    a 13600k ? 420€ or a 5700x ? 250€ Or a 5600x 200€ ? or a 7600x 350€
5800X3D out of reach . custs Like 500€

I realy needed some advices. If someone wants to help . i would apreciate

  38. ne0tic

AMD motherboard prices are very high still tho so I feel like it's more value going for Intel!

  39. jafon9

Why is the i5 13600K 370+ quid in the UK?? Hope those prices settle down.

  40. Stargazer82

Could you compare the results with 6700 XT or 3060 Ti (whatever cards of your choice) since 95% of people won't be using 4090?
