  1. Why not just move the M.2, or another format with the OS, from the old PC to the new PC? That should work.

  2. @alunian

I would partion the drive and install any OS I wanted it would then become a multi boot system and you don't loss any data, u can still access the data from the windows 11 partion through the other OS. Microsoft as no right to tell you what to do with your hardware. Im going to forward this on to Louis Rossmann, even though I'm from the UK.

  3. I agree. Stay on Windows 11 and fix the issues that it has with the user inspiriance . A few things can make it much better. A new start menu. The old rightclick menu back and the old file explorer. Then it is okay. You can even try Explorer Patcher to solve it.

1: You can down or upgrade to a pro version of windows 10 or 11 by forcing the installation to be a pro version, to do so you will need to export the .wim file as pro version of windows and then make a iso of that.
2: If you by a laptop with preinstalled windows on it you will void the warranty of your device if you modify the preinstalled version of windows by downgrading it.

  5. @welshtony1

I agree, there isn't really a reason other than instabilities to downgrade to windows 10

  6. @manti1923

I upgraded to Windows 11, and I've not had one problem and the the menu change I just got used too now…

  7. No one read half a bible of EULA for free, if MS did pay you to read the EULA that is as long as the christian bible with the smallest font you can imagine i might do it.

Like that you stay neutral and dont hide the bad sides with windows, like with the programs that is installed by default.
Its not a law or rule that you need to remove those programs but if people want to do it i appreciate that you stay neutral. Its a personal choice if you want to jump on the windows train and everyone can make their own choice.

I am neutral and use both windows and linux for the specific purposes i use them for, keep the eyes and ears open and avoid become a fanboy/fangirl.

  8. @Plazmal

Personally, I did "downgrade" to Windows 10 on my desktop PC since I got it back 5 months ago and I've had 0 issues.

  9. @tonywise198

At least make an image of the installed OS (W11) before doing this for safety at least. As someone else posted, swap out the drives.

  10. @timdunnusa

Which laptop is in the opening shot? I'm not familiar with the disc control to the left of the trackpad.

  11. @bitemykrank1970

Going from Windows 11 BACK to Windows 10 is actually an UPGRADE. You go from a disgusting pile of crap to a usable OS.

  12. @dennislaplant95

What about doing a Repair Install (aka In Place Downgrade) of Windows 10 over 11? I thought when you do that it preserves my personal files, settings and installed applications.

  13. @hotmixer2010

Just install Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC for longer support lifespan

  14. @muddkipp_1

i think it is defender, microsoft is a sec company. configure ur security settings accordingly.

  15. @cammy85

We're obviously talking a long time ago here, but my first designated work laptop shipped not only with Windows Vista (after at least one of the service packs), but with two DVD-ROM discs: one to wipe Vista out and the other to install the far superior XP. But this is good to know for those of us who have tried to run 11 on unsupported hardware and will soon be hooped with these new restrictions in 24H2 and as well as those who are able to downgrade their preinstalled Windows 11 down to 10.

  16. @TheBlindBard

I see no point in downgrading if you're already on Windows 11. -I'm loving the rich features of Windows 11.

  17. @Vinhhotboii

I am reinstall windows 10 many time facing issue windows 10 automatic repair loop. My PC keep restart computer All this time drive me crazy

  18. @TruthNTime

This is the problem with Windows – update, update, update. Windows 10 was released on the market July 29, 2015,
and it is still updating itself 8 years later. So now that Windows 11 is the new OS for Windows, sit back and get
comfortable because several years of updates, patches (most will be dysfunctional) and headaches will be coming your way.

  19. @rmrtechtips

I'm Downgraded to Windows 10 and again Upgraded to Windows 11 😅😅

  20. @Nick41622

Downgrading to Windows 10 on a new PC would be crazy.

  21. @johngoard8272

To me Brian his would be a strange thing to do and frankly I cannot see the advantage of going back to Windows 10 as I see nothing that would make the machine work faster or better. Very odd choice mate.

  22. @kumaar-jo2ko

my battery capacity dropped from 45000 to 17000 after installing win11 and now am stuck with it

  23. @petergrin3629

Why downgrading to windows 10? It’s better to install linux.

  24. I don't see the point in downgrading. In a years' time, Windows 10 will be out of support so unless you are paying for the extended support, you will only have to upgrade it back to windows 11 anyway.

  25. @Robert-sl7jo

My only comment is how do we get Windows 10 folder icons on Windows 11? Windows 11 folder icons are horrible compared to Windows 10 and 7, especially when looking through 5,000+ photos trying to find a specific photo or more. Microsoft has made things "worse" by doing this making it more time consuming since only one photo is seen compared to the previous versions.
