Can't wait for this remake, looks a million times better than the original

  2. Much better than the original where Isaac gives zero reaction while staring at a normal enemy stand up behind glass ten feet away.

So you need to move the camera to swap from human to Necromorph, but in Dead Space 2 that was done all in one take showing the human transform at that was on PS3 just wow.

All this for EA not to make a dead space 4 game for fun and hopefully does the same amount of sales as the remake $🤑😐

  5. Sergio G

This makes me excited for their Dead Space 2 remake.

  6. Midnight Pausch

Cutscenes are absolurely not more immersive, and this is just a spit in the face to the original devs.

The SPEED of the transformation is what always gets me. I'm blown away by it everytime.

The redesigned game is sold with a full price list, so burn in hell!

    >more interactive

    >adds cutscenes to interactive potential moment

    PICK ONE

In my opinion.. they should wait until you click the captains body. The thing about Dead Space, you never knew when, where, or how the game was going to come after you. You never knew if entering a room was going to trigger something on the otherside of the door. Or trigger something behind you. You didn't know if walking by a vent meant something coming out, or staying idol. So opening the door, and walking into a cutscene… you're expecting something. Dint trigger it AT the door. Trigger it when you click the body. Clicking the body to get something, is business as usual UNTIL the game comes after you.. its no longer business as usual. Don't make it a cutscene.. and if you do, make it interactive. Make it fast. Make a "holy s*** moment" where you need to figure out how to get out of the situation.
The scene is gorgeous… but the build up fails the scare and surpise of the scene. It's expected.

The graphics and the work on the animations and effects are absolutely stunning.
On the other hand, it's such a shame it's a non-interactive cutscene, maybe you could have let the player pick the fire extinguisher or something else laying around the room, that would have been surprising.

Being stuck in a cutscene is not "more immersive". It becomes scary because you are in control yourself and you're not sure what is going to happen.

  13. progorzo

Modern devs cant create, dont have fresh ideas just parasite on someones legacy

  14. progorzo

why they keep promoting this scene in different videos. The direction of this just bad and this disappearing instead of exploding fire extinguisher is just hilarious

  15. Frank Conrad

Sounds like they just added extra scenarios (but they’re all in game cutscenes… no interactivity..)

  16. RoseVoid

One of the things that made dead space so immersive was that it never took control away from the player. I’m not really happy about cutscenes being included in the remake tbh.

idk why but the new graphics make some of the necromorph designs look really scary and some of them goofy. Like the skeleton looking one at 8:00 is actually scary…. but the necromorph in the cutscene is kinda goofy. Idk what to expect either gunna be hit or miss in the final game.

"We want to make it feel more interactive"
Takes all control away from the player and makes it into a scripted action piece.

  19. SCION

Shoulda kept it to no cutscenes like the original

  20. Ruler_Michael92

It would be funny if everyone watching this went into the game expecting this scene to play out just like this and then suddenly they've thrown in a quick time event and we all die xD

  21. HAM

Not quite enough for full lambastion
Can we change the ripper into a doom eternal chainsaw, aaaaand change all the games' sound effects. Should be enough to cull the release sales.

  22. King Crab

Why are they doing this? Why are they ruining it? Can they stop?

  23. jdeer7777

What a horrible waste of time and resources

  24. The animated fluid coming out the right arm looks like lines on top of the arm. Not coming out. Hope that it was fixed.

  25. Matt

The gall of calling a cutscene more immersive than gameplay, Jesus Christ

  26. Edward

Oh no… That's significantly less immerssive and cool. It's a spectacle, sure, but it takes you right out of the game.

  27. Jam29Josh

This is the first time I'm seeing a genuine downgrade and this is a big downgrade.. What would make them think this is the better option?

  28. Eric Wilford

You took uninterrupted gameplay and turned it into a cutscene to make it more “interactive”???? Hello??

  29. MrProtsky

    Gameplay >>>> cutscenes..
Don't know why they changed this…

  30. KJ

To make it more interactive and immersive, you took away game control?

  31. J McAuley

"We want it to be more interactive, so we made it into a cutscene that you can't interact with at all"

  32. Masgaz

    "quite visceral"
    Interesting choice of words

  33. KRG30001

Yes lets turn a great jumpscare into a noninteractive cutscene smfh

  34. Hellcat

1:30 That is BAD game design, removing mobility to the player isn't something you should be proud of, dead space did it better by basically having a uninterrupted gameplay and not relaying on boring cutscenes

  35. Sleep

Why not make the whole game a cutscene guys

  36. Imperial Knight

EA: Dead Space was such a great success, let's remake it and keep the essence of the original
Everyone: So you're not going to F**K UP the sequels this time round right?
    EA:…..
    Everyone: RIGHT?
