Problem is base level config od 8×256 is useless for anyone and won't last even 5 years before you'll need to upgrade in other words by a new computer in fact the chances of getting even 2 or 3 years is not going to happen because of the lack of ram and hard drive space that the base models have

  2. Kevys RC & Music

unless your hub is Thunderbolt you won't get those rated speeds of the internal NVMe you tell us about as type C can not handle those speeds so pointless completely unlesss the hub is thunderbolt been there done that

  3. Camera Prepper

I have been waiting a year, so I can wait 8 months more or go for the Mac Mini pro, in either case both have to have more and better ports than the present Mac Mini M1.

  4. Leau_thegold

The curse of shared resources on unified architecture

  5. Max Nguyen

I'm still using my M1 Mac mini 16gb. Just upgraded my display to the gigabyte m32u 4k/144hz monitor. The Mac mini feels like it flies still. I edit 4k videos without proxy files no problem.

  6. I'm on the fence on what do do. I think I'm going trade my 16" M1 pro to get the new Mini. I keep the laptop in clamshell mode all the time. I can get more computer for the money. I wish had tons of money lol.

Avoid the M1 like the plague. Apple is becoming the new Windows. Bloatware. Ridiculous setup problems, like during initial setup I chose “new Apple ID” and got message “this machine has been used to set up too many Apple ids. What? It’s a brand new machine. Straight from Apple. Ok, then it’s tech support, hold with someone who I can barely understand. Then it’s “commCenter wants to use your keychain” huh? Password entered, and it’s the same message. Then it’s “sharingd wants to use your login”. And numerous similar messages. No thanks Apple. If I’m paying 4x the price of a windows machine then it better “simply work” – not give me codes and hassles like windows 95.

LOL you said 'Reliable PC' although PC means Personal Computer but is always referenced as computer running Windows. Thanks for the advice on the video provided. Always enjoy watching

appreciate the update from 1 year of use. i am thinking to upgrade my old 2012 mac mini or wait for more awesome mac mini

  10. Tony Storcke

Apple won't release a a Mac Mini on March 8th and then again in october. They will slightly improve the existing M1 Mac mini and get rid of the Intel. In addition Apple will be working on integrating RISC-V into a future series of CPU for 10 years into the future.

  11. Josh Lb

Inflation just drove the price of this a $100 more🤦

  12. Mike

I own one and absolutely would not recommend it. Awful design. Fails to recognize a lot of monitors which makes it a struggle. I have a 10-year old laptop (Mac) and a PC laptop and both find monitors and screens with no issues. The mini Mac which requires that very ability struggles. On a less concerning note you also get stuck with the ugliest desktop picture and have no ability to permanently change it.

I will get mac mini m1 renew , i just wasting time to wait hahaha come out mac studio will killed my wallet

  14. DamienG Videos!

If it could drive 2 5k Studio displays just announced I’d definitely have bought a mini. Had to buy the base Mac Studio instead 😩

  15. Roy Munoz

how about now? since the new mac studio release is more like of a high end, can we still consider the m1 mac mini or will there be a mid range update of this product this year

  16. Pete Bowen

After being a lifelong PC user, I bought a Mac Mini six months ago. iMovie and Logic Pro user now and it's been fantastic. Unbelievably fast! I've had some issues with the Apple Magic Mouse and the Bluetooth connection but that's been it. I use a low cost 43" 4K TV as a monitor and I would highly recommend that as well.

  17. huiAPPOAJ

1/3 of the video is an advert, bravo asshole

  18. Apu Sista

Oops. But while you may have got the date wrong, I have no doubt you're right. A MacMini M1 Pro or whatever, with 16/32GB is coming, if later. Easy money for Apple, who, believe it or not, ARE slightly interested in profits too as they need to eat.

  19. SeSeikkailija

"The mac mini m1 max is going to be impressively thin". Wrong!! It's like 3 times as thick:P

  20. Steve Barker

TBF the M1 Mac mini has been used by content creators throughout youtube so what constitutes as a power user? Also it’s now likely we won’t see an M2 chip until next year.

  21. Robert Montoya

The m1 Mac mini is the first Mac ice ever owned and first Mac I've used in over 30 years(apple ii) , so it was a huge leap for me

  22. Anthony Cress

I keep thinking about getting a Mac mini m1 just to play modded minecraft (allthemods7) at such a low power usage vs my workstation that uses 600 watts vs 13 watts

  23. Aydin Zahedi

I bought a Mac mini M1 2TB SSD 16GB a year ago for music production and I couldn't be happier. Powerful and quiet. I have absolutely no problem working with Plug-ins and and VSTs.

  24. Henry Carlsson

It's crazy how one of the fastest machines on the market is basically a Raspberry Pi in size.

  25. frankyg821

I guess we have to wait a little bit longer for the max mini refresh!

  26. Andy MacLeod

After the Mac Studio launch, I’m thinking Apple will reveal the M2 SoC and the Mac Pro at WWDC, with the M2 Mac Mini and MacBooks in October.

  27. Kyousagi

Is this good for art? I draw anime style so I use clip studio paint. How’s it work with drawing tablets? Anyone know? Wanted to build a PC but those GPU prices are over the top.

    iMacs are so gross looking

  28. HeadNinjaDog

I love my Mac Mini but I noticed that Photoshop takes 26 seconds to open.

  29. mrparts

I love my 2018 Mac mini, but the performance difference with M1 is not enough to justify ditching yet just yet. Also the lack of ports. Is a problem.

  30. Pat #####

So did the newer one come out yet? Said as soon as march 8th. I know the mini studio came out, is that the only new minis they are realising this year? Or still a mini with m2 or m1 max? (Thats not the studio)

  31. indiekiduk

That thunderbolt nvme Mac mini dock looks cool but at $300 you might as well just buy a larger built-in SSD

  32. George Luminari

Will there be another Mac mini refresh anytime soon or Mac Studio was it?

  33. William H

there are two kinds of people in this world:
    1. those who doubt the performance advantage of the M1
    2. smart people

  34. james J

Yeah yesterday my laptop was hot as hell when it was doing nothing lol
