Samsung’s QD-OLED TVs Offer a More Affordable Alternative to LG’s OLED TVs

Think LG & Sony respond to Samsung? Usually LG will try to match Samsung pretty quickly so this will be interesting to watch out for! This is definitely a little earlier than I expected.

So, it looks like we just got a price drop on Samsung OLED TVs for 2023 and 2024 models. We’re going to go over all of the models that are available and the sizes that are available, as well as take a look at the whole entire OLED TV Market where it stands for Samsung and LG.

Price Match Guarantee:
Before delving into the models, it’s essential to note the price match guarantee, like Best Buy, for example. The price match guarantee is in place all the way up until the return date of your product. So, do keep that in mind when you are buying a TV in 2024. Better yet, if you have bought a TV already in 2024 that happens to be on this sale list, I definitely cannot forget to mention Samsung’s website. They will have most of these prices right now, but they also have an offer program that you need to check into.

Availability of Models:
You all know that one of my most recommended TVs was the 77in s89 C, but that is quickly selling out almost everywhere. As you can see, the locations that I have plugged in right here, you cannot get the s89 C anymore. But definitely check into it if you are able to get it; it still is the best deal available. If you can’t get the s89 C, for $200 more, there is the 77 in s9c at a new low price of $19.99. This is a really good deal; again, it’s pretty much the same TV as the Samsung s89 C. Also, do not forget to check into open box, as maybe you can find an open box excellent one for $1528 nearby.

Model Details – S90C:
What about the 65 in for the s90c that has dropped to $4.99, another new low? And if you’re looking for open box in this one, you can get an open box excellent for $12220. This is something that you should definitely look into if you’re trying to get a cheaper OLED TV.

Model Details – S95C:
What about the s95 C? Well, the S95 C is available in the 55 in size, so that’s really good at $16.99. You can actually pick one of these up open box for $12284 in excellent condition if you can find it. Now going up to the 65 in size, we see that it is $21.99, and you can get an open box of this at $6.09.

Model Details – S95D:
If you want a 77 in s95 D, it does go up, and in my opinion, the s95 D 77 in is one I would still probably skip out on and just get the s90c, as the difference between the s95 c 77 in and the s9c 77 in isn’t very large. So yeah, you heard me right, the 2024 models are on sale. So if you ended up buying a 2024 model, you should definitely go get that price adjusted as soon as possible. And it looks like you can get the 77in s95 D now for $42.99, this is a savings of $300 off of the last price. The 65 in is a savings of $400, and you can get this for $3,000. The 55 in version of the s95 D is also on sale for $300 less than it was, at $22.99.

Model Details – S90D:
Don’t worry if you don’t like the screen coding, the S9 D is available at a sale price as well. $17.99 for the s90d 55 in, savings of $200. The 65 in is $24.99, also a savings of $200. And then the 77 in, of course, is not being sold right now, so you’ll have to wait on the S90 d77 in.

Comparison with LG Models:
Would you rather have an s90d 65 in or a 77 in s90c? A little bit slower of an operating system, the tyen is not as Snappy, but the 77in s90c is going to be fairly similar picture quality across the board, and you’re getting a bigger size for a lesser price.

Comparison with Other Brands:
Looking at the premium 55 in category, this would be the s95 D, the G3, the G4, and the s95 C. We can see that they are fairly similar in price, but the s95 D is now cheaper than the G4, as it was the same price previously. Will LG go ahead and price match the G4 to the s95 D? That remains to be seen. I’m hopeful that they will, but there’s definitely no guarantees.

So, what do you guys think? Which OLED TV would you get amongst all of these that are on sale? Are you going to be buying one of the 2023 OLED TVs before they go away, or are you going to wait even longer to purchase one of the 2024 OLED TVs? Let me know.

  1. If they ever drop the price on it the LG B4 is going to become the defacto standard gaming TV, it's pretty much a C1/C2/C3 in every way, the only thing LG did to step up the C4 is 144hz on PC.

  6. @kineahora8736

Really? That is very quick price drop. I guess they ain’t selling well?

  7. @leifaregis2554

They cutting the price already bcuz thw matte screen is a bad idea besides nothing really changes ever since s90a.and cheap built.

Samsung launching S85D by 1st May. How is that TV going to be?

  9. With employee pricing I can get 77” S90C for $1799.99. Pull the trigger or wait on 24’s?

  10. I changed my opinion about the S95D in a dark environment. It looks really good, brighter, more vibrant than the G4. Much better in gaming. On the other hand, in a bright environment it looks milky, gray, very bad. G4 way better, even with reflections. Which is bizarre because that should be this S95D biggest selling point

  11. My 10 year old Samsung just went out last week. I’ve been trying to decide between a Samsung S90C , LG C3 and SONY A80L last few days. I was leaning toward Samsung mostly because of all uniformity issues and pink tinted screens I’ve read about with WOLED screens but the comments I’ve read about poor low bit rate processing and motion issues and stutter on the SAMSUNG have me stuck making a decision. We watch mostly Netflix , Hulu, Max , TUBI etc… but we also watch Sports on YouTube TV and NFL ticket. Is the picture that much worse on those lower quality streams than the the LG C3 ? Is the 2024 Samsungs better in that area to the point I should just spend the extra cash on one of those instead? I’m really stuck.

Do you like these market overview videos? I might make it a monthly series (as long as there are notable changes) if you guys like them. So let me know!

  13. @Keivz

Got the s89c nearly a month ago for $1799.99—and it came with free mounting! Incredible tv, incredible deal.

  14. @jnvivian

The title that said that Samsung is cutting its QD-OLED TVs made me think that Samsung was discontinuing its QD-OLED TVs instead of lowering their prices.

  15. @xen9235

They fooling you, all tvs look the same, its just a matter of settings

  16. They did the same thing with the S95B. Price was down like $400 a few weeks after it launched.

  17. @darkcamo77

Is it a cost/environmental/both or other issue that companies (Sony/Samsung) are focusing more on mini-led tech? Are Oleds on the verge of becoming obsolete?

  18. @TheReaver2218

I am in the market for a 77 inch TV to replace my 12 year old LCD tv and I am really considering either the LG c3 or the Samsung s90c

  19. @Manuel.Medellin

A95L and G4 are in a league of it's own, but A95L is still QD Oled so Color advantage.

No surprise Samsung already calls Defeat for the S95D and decided to cut it's price rapidly….that's their only chance to steal market shares with a inferior TV.
Let's hope for rapid price drops for the G4 to follow up here.
