You forgot to mention the biggest Windows dark mode consistency issue. Minimizing and maximizing apps often produce a small rectangular white flash for a split second (Example: minimizing & maximizing Task Manager quickly) or opening a new Incognito tab in Chrome, Edge, and other apps suffer from the white flash issue (recently also Discord since they updated their Electron version in the Canary client of their app). I don't believe this will be fixed in the next year or two even though it's already partially possible with a custom theme.

  2. There is a very light weight app called Nilsoft Shell that completely overvauls the context menu system. It is completely customizable with various theming options. Someone looking for a modern context menu interface should definitely give it a try.

  3. They should completely fix the issue of taskbar icons disappearing or being misaligned after switching virtual desktops!

  4. 7:48 It also on Setting Apps of Memory Storage, if we're go to "System –> Storage –> Show more Categories", it's still using an Old Windows 10 UI Design of Storage Progress Bar.

As a Sys Admin, I have to deal with end-users complaining about the new Outlook missing essential features that were present in the old one since forever, at least once or twice a week I have to explain to someone that this tool it is still being worked on -_- I wish they would stop releasing BETA products to the public.

  6. Hopefully later, Windows 12 UI will be more Consistency and Stripped out the Old Legacy UI Apps, and switched into the New Element UI Design. And if it can do, All of OS Core of Windows 12 are Changed the UI Elements more look like in UNIX-Based Operating Systems.

Also, Control Panel should be Removed Completely and Moved into Settings App on Windows 12

Finally somebody make a video about this. This needs to be addressed at least. AI features are great and they are actually useful, but I hope that they won't forget to at least polish up Windows again considering that they don't seem to plan to move to Windows 12 anytime soon, assuming if there will be significant UI changes anyways.

Windows used to actually get consistent UI changes when major versions is released. When XP was released, the new theme did actually applied virtually to anything with only few areas that wasn't applied with new theme. When Vista came, pretty much everything was changed and many still lingers today. It appears that from Windows 8, Microsoft started to ignore other elements and not updating them to align with new design language. Understandably Metro Design Language may be indeed too radical to be translated to desktop, but then there are already pre-Metro apps that already manage to do that such as Zune and other older MS apps.

But Windows 10 really shows how Microsoft lost the UI consistency throughout its life. From day one, so many elements were not updated to new design language, and even among apps and shell elements that were updated to new design, they also don't match up as well. This was really the start of the bad trend of Microsoft UI design inconsistencies in Windows and all of its software.

Im so fed up of Microsoft thinking they know what is best for me… Gonna wait till win 10 support ends then upgrade to win 11 and dual boot with Linux mint

  9. Actually, Windows is an Unique and Inconsistency Operating System. Unlikely like macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS is Consistency of UI Design Language. This why Windows is a slightly Heavy Operating System (OS) for applications with a Modern UI.

Rectify 11 fixes all of the design and ui inconsistencies within windows!

No offense intended but I honestly don't understand the point of this video outside of maybe trying to enlighten less tech-savvy users.

We all know Microsoft doesn't really give a shit and their QC team fucked off a long time ago. There's no competition or regulatory authority that'll keep them on their toes so they do the bare minimum work as if this is a passion project rather than the work of a trillion $ corporation.
And no, Linux doesn't count. Being open-source you'd think after all these years the community would band together and create something to challenge the utter market dominance of Windows but nope- just small bits of brilliance here and there instead of an all-in-one solution (and Linux users dare preach on how its superior even!).

I hate Apple but goddamn, everything works so flawlessly and seamlessly between their devices.

Windows 11 is like a theme on Windows 7…
Because, the core of the Operating System still old…

  13. @crowdx144

well, "look at the bright side" we have 4 operating systems in one

  14. @martsum398

Needs fixing, but until then I'll happily use Rectify11… especially now that's it's a simple installer. Even has scaling support in native file explorer.

  15. @stormrider01

Windows 11 is still a beta, hate it
We all need to report these bugs to Microsoft

  16. @exposed231

They're so slow for fixing these UI inconsistencies

  17. @NotAFoe

This is why I use Linux instead and on my windows machine I use rectify 3.0
